Cyrille Regis, Guyane-born striker who plied his trade initially in non-league at Molesey and Hayes. Went on to play for West Bromwich Albion, Coventry City, Aston Villa, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Wycombe Wanderers and Chester City. Part of the ‘Three Degrees’ – a term coined by Ron Atkinson, which also included Brendan Batson and Laurie Cunningham.
Represented England five times. Would have gone to España ’82, if not for a hamstring injury. Passed away in 2018 at just 59 years old. RIP.
