Potted player history
Solihull-born centre-forward who played for primarily for his boyhood club, Aston Villa. A European Cup winner in 1982, when Aston Villa beat Bayern München by a goal to nil. Insane that he only made 7 England under 21 appearances and no full caps.
The coolest player in the league circa 1980-82. Was certainly one of my favourite non-Fulham players. I had a Sondico football endorse by him. Tragically died in a domestic accident in September 2024. RIP Gary.
